CJD Frechen: Hasenkamp supports fundraising campaign to renovate the railway carriage for young people with special needs

Cologne , 13 May 2024 - The CJD Frechen is delighted to announce that the Hasenkamp company is supporting the fundraising campaign to renovate the unique wagon for students at the CJD Christophorusschule Frechen - Berufskolleg. This support is an important step towards realising the project to renovate and redesign the carriage and create added value for our students.
The Waggon is a special place of learning where young people with special needs can learn and be creative in a protected environment. Over time, however, renovation work has become necessary to ensure the safety and functionality of the carriage.
Thanks to the generous support of Hasenkamp Holding GmbH, we are able to cover part of the renovation costs.
"Hasenkamp's donation is supporting our project at a crucial stage," says Ludgera Reckmann, Headmistress of the CJD Christophorusschule Frechen - Berufskolleg. "The railway carriage is a central component of learning and social interaction for our pupils. By renovating it, we want to improve the learning environment and create new opportunities for creative forms of teaching." The donation from Hasenkamp is an encouraging start, which the CJD Frechen will continue to build on to fund the complete renovation and remodelling of the carriage. Further corporate collaborations and lotteries will support the renovation project so that the pupils can continue to learn in a modern and safe environment.
"We are delighted to support the CJD and the pupils of the Christophorus School in Frechen with the renovation of their railway carriage," says Ralf Ritscher, Managing Director of Hasenkamp. "This commitment reflects Hasenkamp's long-standing relationship with the CJD and our commitment to promoting education and sustainable initiatives. We hope that the improved learning environment will enable innovative educational approaches that help pupils to realise their full potential."
"We are very grateful for the diverse support from hasenkamp," says Boris Lietz, General Manager of CJD Verbund NRW Süd. "Not only is the donation of money for the renovation of the railway carriage a great help, but also the continuous cooperation on small series orders, which enables our trainees to demonstrate their skills in a practical way."
