Excellence for our customers and passion in what we do
As an owner-managed family business, we have been combining tradition and innovation for generations. The satisfaction of our customers is at the centre of everything we do.
With excellence in our specialist areas and passion in what we do, we stand for outstanding logistics services, specialising in the safe transport, professional installation and conservation-appropriate storage of valuable and sensitive objects. Our more than 1,000 employees around the world place the highest value on quality, security, discretion and environmental awareness.
From Cologne all over the world
In addition to its headquarters in Cologne, the hasenkamp Group has more than 40 locations in 24 countries worldwide. Tradition and innovation go hand in hand at hasenkamp and are based on a regularly audited, DIN and ISO-certified quality, environmental and energy management process. This forms the basis for our sustainable actions and points the way to future-orientated corporate development.
Management and Advisory Board
Founded in 1903, the logistics company hasenkamp is managed by Dr Thomas Georg Schneider in the fifth generation.
The management team is complemented by Hans-Ewald Schneider and Ralf Ritscher.
Dr Karl Ludwig Kley (Chairman), Joachim Schütz and Eric Oliver Mendel take on the tasks of the Advisory Board.

"Every work of art or cultural asset is invaluable. The special challenge is not the actual transport, but the preparation of the transport, the planning of the transport packaging, the means of transport, the clarification of customs and insurance issues and the observance of international cultural property conventions."
Dr Thomas Schneider, CEO
Certified quality management
Responsibility, quality and continuous optimisation
As a company with a long tradition, we recognise our responsibility - towards our customers, society and the environment. Our integrated management system ensures that long-term customer satisfaction and sustainable business practices are at the centre of everything we do. We continuously optimise our processes, services and procedures to ensure the highest quality standards in all areas of the company.
Quality, environment and energy - a holistic approach
Our quality management covers all relevant areas and fulfils the requirements of the standards DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 (quality management), DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 (environmental management), DIN EN ISO 50001:2018 (energy management) and the industry-specific standards for the preservation of cultural heritage DIN EN 15946 and DIN EN 16648. We also consistently implement the FIDI standards. All processes are documented in detail and designed in such a way that they meet our quality, environmental and energy targets at all times.
Regular audits for the highest standards
To ensure the effectiveness of our integrated management system, we regularly undergo independent audits. Accredited certification companies such as DEKRA, the FAIM Coordination Centre and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young check the compliance and efficiency of our standards. This continuous review and improvement process ensures that we continue to offer the highest quality, safety and sustainability in the future.
The hasenkamp history
Beginning and development
The history of hasenkamp begins in 1903 as a flourishing and successful family business. The Second World War briefly puts an end to the haulage business, but hasenkamp resumes work soon after the end of the war.
With the reconstruction after the war, cultural exchange on a national level becomes increasingly important. Soon there was an increased demand for cross-border transport between Germany and other countries. hasenkamp was commissioned to transport numerous different German art objects to Paris, Moscow and Leningrad.

The expansion
In 1955, hasenkamp establishes its first branch in Bonn. Five years later, the fleet has already grown to 20 vehicles. At this time, the company takes over the delivery of goods for Kaufhof AG in Cologne and Bonn. hasenkamp also becomes the regional forwarding agent for IBM and takes over the distribution of complex IT equipment.
In 1965, the company sets up its own joinery and metalworking shop in Cologne for the production of specialised packaging. At the same time, another branch is established in Frankfurt am Main, in the immediate vicinity of the airport. Branches in Hamburg and Munich follow in 1970, and the branch in Berlin opens in 1975.

The beginning of a new era
The expansion continues and by the end of the 1980s, the 4th generation of owners is already running the family business. The growing demand for logistics concepts for particularly high-value and sensitive goods increasingly gives hasenkamp an international character. In order to meet the growing requirements, planning begins in the early 1990s for a completely new logistics centre that not only meets the increased transport volume, but also the high security requirements. In 1994, hasenkamp moves into the new building at the Cologne-Frechen site.

The successful today
After more than 120 years of company history, we are proud to still be an owner-managed family business that is highly trusted both nationally and internationally. Our aim is to continue to ensure the satisfaction of our customers in the future and to successfully handle demanding transport operations worldwide.

Responsibility
We are aware of our social responsibility towards our employees and society. We are therefore actively committed to non-discriminatory, fair and equal working practices. Transparency and ethical behaviour are essential for us and are practised by all members of our company on a daily basis.
Cooperation with the CJD vocational training centre
For many years, we have been working closely with the CJD Vocational Training Centre in Frechen, which is committed to the vocational and social rehabilitation of people with special needs and offers around 250 young people the opportunity to learn a wide range of professions and receive professional training.
The vocational training centre has its own carpentry workshop where, among other things, our high-quality hasenkamp transport boxes and marzipan boxes for customer gifts are manufactured, painted and labelled.
