Hans-Ewald Schneider receives LEO Award 2024 for Lifetime Achievement

Cologne/Hamburg, 16 September 2024 - Hans-Ewald Schneider, Managing Partner of the logistics company Hasenkamp, has received the LEO Award 2024 from the Deutsche Verkehrs-Zeitung (DVZ) in the category "Lifetime Achievement in Logistics". The award ceremony took place on 13 September 2024 in Hamburg. The laudatory speech was given by Robert Kümmerlen, a member of the DVZ editorial team.

The LEO Award, which has been presented annually by the DVZ since 2007, honours Schneider's career spanning more than 40 years and his commitment to innovation and environmental friendliness in logistics.

Robert Kümmerelen said of the award winner: 'He has led and developed his family business with passion and commitment for decades, now in its fourth generation. The challenges he has faced have often gone far beyond normal logistics'.

A visionary in the logistics sector

Hans-Ewald Schneider has transformed Hasenkamp from a regional company into a global logistics service provider with specialised fields of activity. This award honours me and my team and motivates us to continue to innovate while keeping a balanced view of people, the economy and the environment," said Schneider at the award ceremony.

Under Schneider's leadership, Hasenkamp has realised numerous pioneering projects in the fields of art and project logistics. With now four business divisions, Schneider has organised the company in many different ways: In addition to art logistics, the company offers services for relocation, high-tech and healthcare logistics, as well as archiving.

The DVZ recognises Schneider's influence on logistics and his plans to develop Hasenkamp in a sustainable and digital way, supported by his son Thomas Schneider as Co-CEO, the fifth generation to lead the family business.
