Hasenkamp enters strategic partnership with MTAB in Scandinavia

Investment strengthens market presence in Northern Europe and deepens long-standing partnership
Cologne/Stockholm, 26 August 2025 – The Hasenkamp Group has acquired a minority stake in the Scandinavian specialist logistics company MTAB with effect from July 2025. Founded in 1968, MTAB is a long-established family-owned company that operates in all four Scandinavian countries and has a strong position in the fields of art, cultural goods and high-tech logistics. The investment that has now been agreed deepens the long-standing partnership and expands the operational area in which the Hasenkamp Group partner companies operate branches.
The two MTAB owners, Simon and Stefan Fors, will remain majority shareholders and continue to manage the company independently, making their own strategic and operational decisions. As part of the investment, Thomas Schneider, CEO of the Hasenkamp Group, will join the Board of Directors at MTAB.
"Our companies have been working together successfully for decades - especially in art logistics. With this investment, we are strategically deepening this partnership, creating new synergies and expanding our international presence in an economically and culturally highly relevant region," says Thomas Schneider, CEO of the Hasenkamp Group.
Simon Fors, CEO of MTAB, also emphasises the advantages of the new structure: "Hasenkamp and MTAB share the same values and quality standards. Together, we can share our expertise in an even more targeted manner, strengthen strategic coordination and offer our customers in Scandinavia, Germany and worldwide an even more comprehensive range of services."
The move is part of the growth strategy of both family-owned companies, which is focussed on high-quality special logistics for sensitive goods. Operationally, the structures, management and working methods of both companies will remain unchanged.
