As a lorry driver at hasenkamp, you deal with very different projects and goods that need to be delivered to their domestic or international destination. Our vehicle fleet includes modern lorries that are suitable for the transport of particularly high-quality and sensitive goods.
You will not only take care of moving the goods, but also of loading and unloading your lorry and transferring cargo to its destination, as well as unloading sensitive goods and handing them over safely to the target person. Depending on the assignment, your responsibilities may also include packaging activities such as packing and unpacking high-value goods together with a colleague.
As a driver at hasenkamp, you will work in an open and friendly team, in constant communication with the staff in our warehousing and dispatch departments, in order to jointly handle all ongoing projects.
Depending on the assignment and your driving licence category (from category C1), your daily routine as a driver with us will vary.
If you help with art logistics, you will be able to study the route plan one day before the assignment and find out which trips and shipments need to be carried out the following day.
In the case of local routes, you will always work together with a colleague to safely transport the works of art to their destination.
Depending on the assignment, you may also be responsible for unpacking and hanging the artworks, as well as for setting up sculptures.
In the case of long-distance routes, you will be on the road together with a colleague for several days and usually internationally. Depending on the destination country, you may also be flown in directly to help with project management. This means that you will not only be responsible for transporting the objects themselves, but will also be entrusted with other project-related tasks.
If you are assigned to the Final Mile Services department, you will take care of the loading, safe transport and successful delivery of data centres, IT equipment, medical technology, washing machines, furniture, kitchens and, if required, their assembly directly at the customer's premises.
