Cologne / Salzburg, 24September 2024 - Kunsttrans, a member of the Hasenkamp Group and a leading provider of art transport services in Austria and Eastern Europe, is opening a new location in the heart of Salzburg. With this expansion, the company, which has a history of more than 150 years, is establishing a second base and is represented in another cultural centre in addition to Vienna. Melanie Tichowitsch is the point of contact for regional clients, as well as for art transport and handling.
Supporting the regional art scene
The new branch will enable Kunsttrans to provide its services more efficiently at a local level. The portfolio includes art transport, customised packaging and specialised services such as exhibition handling, art mounting and custom-made aluminium stretcher frames. We want to be closer to our clients and provide them with the best local support,' explains Birgit Vikas, CEO of Kunsttrans. The region has a vibrant art scene that we want to actively support with our logistics expertise.
With the new location, the Hasenkamp Group will be able to respond even better to the needs of local customers,' says Thomas Schneider, managing partner of the Hasenkamp Group. The region offers great potential and we are looking forward to challenging projects.
Opening event
To mark the official opening, an exclusive event was held where partners, customers and representatives of the art scene could get to know the new location and the expanded range of services in a relaxed atmosphere. Birgit Vikas emphasised the importance of this face-to-face contact: This step is intended to further strengthen our close relationship with the art community and to signal to museums, galleries and private collectors that they can rely on a team that works to the highest standards.
Extended range of services
In addition to classic fine art transport, the Hasenkamp Group in Salzburg also offers the services of its fine art transport subsidiaries Museom and Alustretch, which specialise in exhibition management, art mounting and custom-made aluminium stretcher frames.
The logistics company Hasenkamp, founded in 1903, is managed in the 5th generation by its owners Hans Ewald Schneider and Dr. Thomas Georg Schneider and by Ralf Ritscher.
