All values at a glance - with the digital courier

• Hasenkamp Group cooperates with US tracking tool provider Tive • Transparent monitoring of shipments around the globe • Flexible and individual data analysis on all transport routes

Cologne-Frechen, 16 March 2022 - 20 degrees Celsius, 50 percent humidity - standard measured values for the climatic conditions in museums. These values make curators and registrars relax while their works of art are being transported from A to B. It is important to keep this ideal climate constant for as long as possible - whether in a truck, plane, ship or warehouse. The Hasenkamp Group, as an association of renowned logistics specialists, relies on specially air-conditioned vehicles and warehouses for this purpose and has the expertise to build high-quality transport crates that move works of art and cultural assets around the world in this environment, ideally protected. With the introduction of a new tracking system, climate data can now be tracked from the comfort of one's own desk - and there is even more.

The tracker is suitable for air freight

In cooperation with the US tracking tool provider Tive, the art logistics companies of the Hasenkamp group are offering a joint digital service. Mounted inside the transport container, various sensors of the smartphone-sized device monitor the environment of the object. In addition to temperature and humidity, the tracker measures movements, vibrations and light. The data is stored internally, sent to a server via mobile radio (2G/4G/5G) and retrieved from there in real time via an individual tracking website as and when required.

With around 150 grams, the device is light and compact and also comes with sustainable added value: after the monitoring job is completed, the GPS-based data collector is returned, recharged and prepared for the next job. The tracker is a product that does not require a lithium battery. This is an important feature so that airlines also let the digital courier fly along without complaint. Almost all major airlines have already included the product on their approved list.

Available from March 2022

The Hasenkamp Group, which includes Kunsttrans, Kortmann, Mobull and Hasenkamp itself, offers the tracking system from 149 euros per shipment. The service will be available throughout the group from March 2022.
